It’s a muggy night in the ATL and Bryant Harris, better know as Yung Bzo, is warming up before taking the stage at one the city’s hot spots for emerging new talent. No stranger to the city’s famous open mic nights, people are buzzing about this kid, some saying “he’s next”. It’s no wonder he’s already shared the stage with such superstars as Young Dolph, Plies, Webbit, and T.I. When asked how he got started rapping, he gives credit to his cousin, a poet. “I thought it was dope, I tried to do it, but I always needed a beat to make me go write” says Bzo, “and here I am”. It’s his laid back attitude, and perseverance that has connected him with tracks from the likes of 808 Mafia, Zaytoven, and others. A native from Atlanta’s southside, Bzo has stayed close to home and to his roots for the inspiration for his songs. His songs are upbeat, melodic, and fun, but they deliver messages that are heartfelt and real. People relate to his honesty about love, loss, and the struggle to do the right thing, sometimes against all odds, while still taking care of and providing for his family. Bzo dropped his first mix tape in 2017 entitled “Cooler”. His music and his live performances show his love of diversity both with the people he calls friends and with his songs and sounds. The one common denominator is always high energy. Nobody sits their ass down when Bzo is onstage.
