Prolific musician and composer Chad Fjerstad has released minimal wave-inspired tunes through his dark synthpop band, More Ephemerol, dynamic electronica under his surname, Fjerstad, and prog rock with psychedelic flavors through his power trio, K'mono. He's also known for his role as the bassist in an umbrella of heavy bands such as Dead To Fall, The Primals, Ass Life, and more. Though bass guitar was Fjerstad's root instrument, he leaned into synthesizers around the same time he made the move from his hometown of Minneapolis to Los Angeles in 2009. 
 In 2022, Fjerstad released his first proper film score, for the tech-focused thriller, DARK CLOUD. Unintentionally channeling flashes of Brad Fiedel's THE TERMINATOR score, Kenji Yamamoto's SUPER METROID game soundtrack, and newer classics with a John Carpenter-infused backbone such as Disasterpeace's IT FOLLOWS, or Kyle Dixon & Michael Stein's fantastic STRANGER THINGS collection.
