Omega Raw is a Bay Area Artist who was born in South Carolina and raised in the Washington DC and Tristate Area of Virginia and Maryland. As a young rapper Omega Raw went to Atlanta to start his career. He began as co-host to Jahques of Original Black Kings and a recording protege to Meiko of MGM Records. Omega Raw rap name was earned for his rap style and undefeated battle record in local Rap Battles in near The Underground Atlanta and Apache Cafe hosted by Dres the Beatnik. Omega Raw took the name and rest has been history. He hosted the Hip Hop Sundays, Open Mic Wed. events across Atlanta at the Black Lion Cafe,the Somber Reptile and Cajun Kitchen for nearly 4 years. In the 2003 Omega Raw moved to Sonoma County, California where he met Jodi Cookson and formed a band known as What the Funk Band or WTF. Omega Raw sang and played as Hype Man for the Blue Lotus band and WTF band at the same time opening for Sir Mix A Lot, Digital Underground, Long Beach Dub Allstars and Long Beach Dub Short Bus, the Ying Yang Twins, Andre Nickatina, The Jacka, and countless underground and local venues nationwide he has performed from headline to standard act. Omega Raw has been featured on a number of mixtapes from Coast 2 Coast Mixtapes, YMCMB Tru Go Gettas, Datpiff, & Rip Raw Entertainment. Omega Raw has many celebrity features and underground collaborations and his distribution company Rip Raw Entertainment has a host of his own hand picked artist known as the Infamous Omega Squad
