 Having trained as a jazz trumpeter at Sydney's Conservatorium of Music, Nick Garbett has brought his distinctly colourful approach to the instrument to a diverse array of musical projects. As a band leader and co-founder he has explored faithfully vintage reggae with The Strides and Garfish, vibrant pacific jazz with The Vampires, Lionel Loueke and Nick Garbett Quintet, and experimental landscapes of rhythm and colour with upcoming album “The Glider”, a collaboration with long time friend Mike Majkowski.
