Oral Sargın and Zafer Özkan, who blended their musical partnership that started in 2013 with their 16-year friendship, founded People Around in 2018. People Around combines electronic, ethnic-electronic, downtempo, chillhop and lo-fi music genres by synthesizing them. This duo, who has been making music together for years, blends their music styles from different musical disciplines and appeals to both acoustic and electronic music listeners with their songs. People Around, who has been using clarinet, saxophone and electric guitar as a soloist in his works since the day it was founded, brings together house rhythms and modern synthesizers in its infrastructure. Using Eastern and Western tunes together, the team enjoys designing unusual frequencies thanks to their wide musical range. People Around has featured improvisation in most of its performances since its first stages. They composed their pieces by interacting with the people around them in the spirit of improvisation.
