Buffalo, NY “Genre bending and creative sound design recorded in house.” - Pulling from a slurry of musical influences, Free Music Party’s sound has nestled in beautifully along the warm, classic-sounding — and often grimy — sounds of the Buffalo underground scene. With their debut full-length project “777”, the group, often shortened to FMP, lends themselves to their Hip Hop roots. The group’s soulful production offers contributions from Kevin Spears, Luno J, and DJ Apollo, each letting their unique voices shine through the scope of a frequently Spears-led production. Hints of classic R&B, Jazz, club music, modern Pop, and even Rock/Punk, lay the foundation for Eddy Blanco and Alex Live’s lead vocals. Kevin Spears also lends softer vocals for choruses and to back the two front men. Weaving in and out of rapping, singing, live instrumentation, and classic DJ stylings, these elements all come together to form a unique stage presence consistent through the group’s many live performances.
