Born in Mexico City and raised in Southern California, Version Five (Cinco) developed a deep appreciation for all genres of music from a young age, a passion that shines through in his studio work. His motto is "Love the Process." As a DJ, producer, and remixer, Version Five has reworked hits for superstar artists like David Guetta, Rihanna, OneRepublic, Britney Spears, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan, and Morgan Evans, among others. In 2008, he co-founded the dance record label Tape Deck Music, collaborating with a host of talented emerging dance artists. His work has frequently charted in multiple genres on Beatport’s Top 100. In 2019, Version Five founded Open Format Music Group with the aim of providing a platform for emerging artists to thrive, free from the constraints of the traditional music industry.
