 It wasn't behind bars that I discovered bars. Rapping wasn't a trend I wanted to follow. It was the words that I could write to escape the troubles of tomorrow. True Hip Hop is a hard pill to swallow. Its raw, uncut, and truth. It was the vibe I got when my words first came alive to a sick bass line. It was the feeling I felt when I allowed myself to drown in music completely and whole heartily. Hip Hop may not be what it used to be. It has changed. Be the change you want to see. So as the man in the mirror taking back Hip Hop starts with me. Anybody can jump on a track and make you Bob ya head. True. But when you're speaking into a mic, everything you spit is You. A hook, a verse, a breakdown, and a drop that'll give you chills. I am New York. I am the Bronx. And in killeen I'm just J-Kill. I am my truth, I am the booth, and some may not feel what I feel. But hip hop is me and I'm more than real. My eyes are open, I'm more than focused, and when the beat drops I'm speaking.
