YQ, also known as Tan Yuqing, is a singer-songwriter and has been invited to perform at many community, corporate and charity events. Besides singing in Singapore, Yuqing has also been invited to perform at Genting Highlands Arena of Stars, Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Batam Island in Indonesia, Beijing in China and Maddela in Philippines. She has clinched several Champion titles for solo singing competitions and is a Mezzo Soprano singer with the Singapore Symphony Youth Choir. Besides performing, Yuqing loves to write songs. Yuqing challenged herself recently, and wrote her first mandarin song for ‘Voices of my Heart’, a song writing competition organised by Lian He Zao Bao and Singapore Hospice Council and emerged 2nd runner up. Yuqing formed a band with her sisters named ‘TLQ’ and is the lead singer of the band. ‘TLQ’ have performed at many community, corporate and charity events, and have also been featured on National TV (Mediacorp TV8). Aside from that, the band has performed at events like ‘Singapore Street Festival’ and ‘River Hong Bao’.
