Originally from Buenos Aires, now Berlin-based, Ulises started an odyssey in the search of the miraculous sound that merges folk circus, techno and spirituals. Deep, yet funny and too broad to be pigeonholed, Ulises’ music is always defying any kind of identities. Different cosmovisions and arts influence his work, from Zen Buddhism to Borges and dadaism. Having a multi-instrumentalist background in bands and a never-tiring curiosity, Ulises began to experiment and combine timeless organic instrumentation from native tribes along with contemporary tools and techniques found in electronic music. The use of drum machines, samplers and synthesizers contributed to his syncretic sound. In his DJ & Live sets there can be found a whole palette of moods. Music to induce calm, to evoke a space to reflect, or that which urges to an ecstatic and spellbinding dance. From deep basslines, abstract synth atmospheres to ancient textured drums and percussions, all pulse-driven by rhythms from around the world, in an uprising emotional tension.
