Manu Sija is a young Argentinean multi-instrumentalist from Tucuman who successfully blends improvisation with Latin folk languages, delivering in a very unique way his original arrangements of his own songs as well as thoughtfully reimagined covers. His palette colors compositions by iconic artists such as Violeta Parra and Atahualpa Yupanqui, with jazzy treatments that never leave behind his true folkloric take on music. Manu has released 4 albums, as well as several singles and collaborations with prestigious international artists. CHANGOSOLO, a solo project with outstanding videos illustrating it, is one of his most impactful albums. In this project Manu expands his multi- instrumentalist universe to include live looping, creating in his own way a one-man band show. It powerfully conveys Manu's very special way of performing his own songs, as well as songs and versions of classical folkloric music from Latin America. Manu has performed in the United States, Argentina, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, South Africa, Egypt, Mozambique, Swaziland, and many more places. He has played as a guest with Carlos Vives , Marta Gómez, ,Leon Gieco, Nano Stern, Teresa Parodi, Lito Vitale, and Divididos, among others. In the past years Manu has opened new musical path, earning recognition from many Argentine folklore masters and referents of jazz and world music such as Pat Metheny.
