When the book closes, I want my work to be remembered as boundary pushing and fiercely authentic. + I do a large majority of production on my projects. I play the instruments, I program the drums, I flip the samples. I sing a little, rap a little & yodel from time to time. Some has described my energy as tongue and cheek. Others have commented on the duality of my writing pertaining to its extremely personal stance but maintaining a bit of humor and sarcasm. The combination of my innately melancholic rustbelt POV, and vast understanding of all musical traditions & cultures informs a rare outlook and permeates my desire to explore. I claim Erie, Pennsylvania as home and this place affected my work in ways I don't think I can ever recover from. Take that how you want. + I draw influence from many different artists, traditions and movements. monte booker had a lot to with how I look at production as a whole.
