Formed in 1995 in Vilnius, Biplan is one the most popular Lithuanian pop-rock/indie-folk bands. More than 25 songs by Biplan charted in various Lithuanian radio stations which makes them one of the most successful Lithuanian bands, a household name in the home country. Debut album Banzai (1997) was followed by critically acclaimed second release Braškės (1998), which featured hits Labas Rytas and Ketvirtadienis. Biplan catapulted to stardom as Braškės won them multiple awards, including album of the year, best band and best rock band of the year awards in Lithuania. The band recorded russian version of the song called S Dobrym Utrom, which became popular from St. Petersburg, Kiev to Vladivostok. Eventually Biplan confirmed the reputation as multiple-hits band and toured extensively in Lithuania, UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Ukraine, russia, even Albania and Kosovo. In 2014 Biplan released probably their most popular album Visi Keliai Veda Prie Jūros, with the hit singles O Mes Prie Jūros, Kapitonai and Amore. The latter one became well-known romantic anthem followed by millions of streams and was covered in couple of concerts by Portuguese star Salvador Sobral in 2020. In the year 2020 band revisited some of their songs by recording them and performing live in jazz format with guest-singer Karina Krysko, followed by album Džiaze Tik Merginos. During 2023 Biplan continued to release singles and was opening for Scorpions world tour concert in Žalgiris Arena, in Kaunas.
