Corey Kilgannon has been writing and sharing songs for over fifteen years, and is set to release his 8th full-length album “From Silence, to Silence, and with Great Joy.” The album was created on a Tascam 388 reel-to-reel in the closet of his office at Atlantic Theatres (a.k.a. The Vine), where Corey serves as the resident sound healer, peaceful loiterer, and music pastor. The album muses over lost love, celebrates diversity, offers a feminine image of the divine, and includes a quirky song or two about returning to a Christian faith. The process of recording this album was one of artistic recovery, every session began with an hour and eight minutes of quiet contemplation and prayerful painting. Freed from the young artists hunger for fame and success, this album finds a calm, mature insight into the human soul and delivers the rare hopeful feeling.
