Biography

rhymebo0k is an underground rapsinger-songwriter whose music genre focuses mainly on hip-hop and R&B. Her musical journey began in 2004 when she formed TruCkerDreelz with her cousins which saw her co-write, rap, sing, and co-produce their mixtape, Rugged Companion. While the group focuses more on hip hop, rhymebo0k’s influences are, however, classic pop, R&B and rock. With her own style and interpretation of the music genres, she has gone on to grow her musical repertoire as a solo artist and began producing her own music since 2005. Steadily expanding her network, she co-founded The Unstoppable Inc. with independent musicians - Nutty Slicc and Sleezy Moss - in 2011. The trio has released two mixtapes - Dreams of Hope (2011) and Borneo Gliders (2012). In 2013, her first official album, 'Rhymebook' was released under Starrdome Music Group. It features Across the Sea, a collaboration with a multi-element band, Swaiv. Cold Sweat from the album was also featured in Republic of Borneo, a compilation album published by Seventh Tribe. Her R&B track, Shoulda Known Better - featuring Son Of Age and Meryll Pearl (Swaiv) - hit the airwaves through Red FM (Sarawak) and 104.5 CVFM (England). 2014 saw VIMA Malaysia nominate her song Talk the Talk - featuring Sleezy Moss - as Best Hip-Hop Song. In November 2018, 'The LOV Era' was released. What's It Gonna Be? - a very dance-centric song from the album marks her first collaboration with a French producer, Alexander Weidner.
