Singer, songwriter, producer, drummer, Josh Stokes uses his gospel roots to deliver new age soul with a twist of R&B, funk, and psychedelic punk. The son of a preacher man, and a southern belle, Stokes was born with the gift of music not knowing the magical journey that it would take him. The Baltimore bred musician has performed as drummer and musical programmer for Maurette Brown Clark, James Fortune, Vickie Winans, and many of his hometown peers. As a songwriter and producer, Stokes has worked with fellow Baltimore artists Tate Kobang (Drake & 21 Savage) and D.K. the Punisher (Justin Bieber, Jill Scott, SiR, D Smoke). While he has shared stages in his role as supporting act with JPEGMAFIA, Marsha Ambrosius, and Theophilus London, Josh Stokes is a standout performer all on his own. He is inspired by perseverance and believing in ones self, while showcasing a family of songs surrounding life, love, and new sounds.
