Music has always been in Zane's family and he couldn't have run from it if he tried. His mom started him out early testing his vocal abilities by having him sing from hymn books and expressing those same songs during church services. His older brother Leon Pickens who was already established as a local artist took him under his wing and watched his little brother flourish in his own lane. From auditioning for the American Idol to winning "Best New Artist" at the United World Showcase in Las Vegas, Zane never stopped pursuing his dream of becoming an established Independent Artist. Suffering so much loss, from his Dad, brother and cousin at young ages, it has done nothing but fuel his passion to provide art that allows other artist and listeners to just be themselves and allow their inner Martian to flourish.
