The Rooms is a collective project that started in suburban Lisbon more than a decade ago. It evolves through numerous and constant collaboration, musically and visually. The majority of its years based in Macau, South East Asia, it has been able to gather from time to time local and international artists and musicians inside a room, located on the high rise industrial buildings down by the city´s docks. The Rooms is an audio visual colective of individuals. It lives on numerous and constant collaboration. It crosses worlds, connected, interconnected, interwoven, intertwined, present, and alive. It feeds on cultural fire, references, history, language, music, dance, film, and art. It's cinematic. We're back to the outskirts of Lisbon. Deep in its industrial and production tissue. Where factories meet residential areas and social housing flats. Gas stations and warehouses. Empty fields abandoned or unfilled. Blocks and boxes locked in cold cement amidst the perpetual hum of super highways and city orbital roads. A makeshift territory to shelter multitudes. The Rooms music is a fruit of love and a soundtrack for the times we are living. Between the dark and the light is where we meet and play. Thank you for your ears
