Blackrockstar is Singer/Songwriter Rivelino Rigters, from Amsterdam. Previously played in Afro-Punk band Rive and Rap Group NOA. He hass released 3 albums, 4 EPs, 12 singles and 3 books! Was picked as Serious Talent on 3FM Radio in 2018 with AirPlay and rotation on 3FM, FunX, 538, MTV and XiteTV. He won 2 prizes at the Euro Christian Music Festival of 2022 in Italy, Turin and he was nominated for The Silver Dove, the Dutch Gospel Awards in 2019. Released his 3rd Book and Album "BLOEDBAND" on May 20th, 2022, which got a great review in OOR Magazine! With producers Rene de Vries and Navadem, who worked with Opgezwolle, Fresku and Typhoon. On this album he worked with with Pearl Jozefzoon (TVOH, Dreamgirls) , Candy Dulfer (Prince, Dave Stewart) , Shirma Rouse, & Rocks (THC). He is currently preparing to release the first single of his new album //REBORN// on the 28th of March 2024. On this album he will take you on a journey through the healing process of a kidney disease to full recovery. In collaboration with creative agency TBWA/NEBOKO he will release 7 special Art Canvases that display his process of recovery. Next to that he is working on 2 big prison-tours to Italy and Mexico in May and October of 2024 to share his testimony, music & books with over 1800 inmates!
