Da Lion is one of the most referenced producers in the Portuguese reggae scene. Artist, Composer, Songwriter and instrumentalist of great versatility, he started his career in 2001 when he co-founded, together with Mugsy LTMS the mythical Portuguese band "Like the man said". In 2010 Da Lion founded his own production company and label Da Lion Music having roots reggae as his main identity. His mission is governed by cultural sharing and awareness through his music, always looking to work with artists who defend the same ideals, such as Akae Beka , Norris Man , Qshan Deya , Fantan Mojah , Rob Symeonn , Ras Indio , Jah Bami , Ras Attitude , Michael Fabulous , Biblical , Dudjah , Rubera Roots , Mugsy LTMS , Kussondulola , , Prince Wadada and many more. In addition, Da Lion also works with numerous producers, such as Bobo Rems, Suns of Dub , among others. Examples of this are the releases of songs like Tell It Like It Is by Akae Beka with Iyata Safari in 2020, which was mastered by Laurent "Tippy" Alfred of the Label IGrade Records.
