Originally from South Africa and now based in New Zealand, Channay is a vocalist bringing her distinctive voice to EDM, pop, and dance tracks. Her musical journey was inspired by artists she admires, including Alan Walker, Coldplay, Billie Eilish, and Dua Lipa, as well as the vibrant world of K-pop. Her passion for creating original music was sparked in 2022 after watching a favorite K-drama featuring a musician who composed music on his iPad. Since then, she has begun exploring songwriting and has developed a growing interest in music production. With roots in classical singing, Channay has transitioned to modern genres, collaborating with talented producers to bring her emotive and versatile vocals to life. Often compared to Evanescence and Dido, her voice adds depth and individuality to every track. Through her lyrics, she explores themes of love, self-discovery, and adventure, as well as her personal struggles with anxiety, aiming to connect with listeners on a meaningful level. In 2024, Channay reached a major milestone. After a few years of working independently, she began collaborating with gifted producers, resulting in several track releases—with more on the horizon. Her goal is to inspire listeners, reminding them they’re never alone and encouraging them to find joy and strength in life’s challenges.
