Born and brought up in a joint family in Guwahati (Assam)with cultural atmosphere let her show keen interest in music, dance and acting. Her brothers played immensely important roles in helping her pursue a career in music. She showed excellence in her educational career completing Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication.
