Biography

Singer-Songwriter Kimberly Brewer Emerges From Background Blurring The Lines of The Senses with Sexy Self-Penned Single “Tasting Sunshine”   A Duet with Mark Kibble of Take 6 also featuring Gerald Albright on Alto Sax Following years of high-profile support singing for artists ranging from Stevie Wonder, Vanessa Williams and the late, great Teena Marie to k.d. lang, Earth, Wind & Fire, and – in Spanish - with Julio Iglesias, singer-songwriter Kimberly Brewer is enchanting ears with her single “Tasting Sunshine.” Tastefully sensual wedding jazzy vocal licks to a wicked bluesy backbeat, the song pairs Kimberly’s whispery soprano with the fervent tenor voice of Mark Kibble, a founding member of Grammy-winning vocal sextet Take 6. Cherry on top, the ever-soulful alto saxophone strains of Gerald Albright. Kimberly states, “the idea of tasting sunshine rolled into my head. It made me think about a kiss and how euphoric it must feel when you finally find your soulmate. I guess it was my imaginary husband I was dreaming aloud about.” “Tasting Sunshine,” was produced by the prolific Chris “Big Dog” Davis, and Executive Produced by Byron Miller. “Tasting Sunshine” is Kimberly’s third single following a cover of Stevie Wonder’s “Don’t Make Me Wait Too Long” and the title track of her forthcoming album, “Just That Sweet To Me.”  Kimberly concludes, “Tasting Sunshine” is when I find my person, that’s what I want our love to feel like.”
