Born to parents barely in their teens- Milly Brock hails from both the inner and outer city of Little Rock. Splitting time between the two different worlds reckoned to be a difficult undertaking. On one side was the household South of the rock- calm, hard working, and relentless in nature. With a solid foundation of personal humility and tenacity- a father would mentor his son to being the successful model of what his own trials and endured hardships had created. North of the river was a rivaled atmosphere. Dubbed the most dangerous city per capita in the United States, the young artist learned the struggles of growing up less fortunate than those across the river. In the middle of an ongoing war between gangs, drugs, and gun violence- a young Milly Brock was able to differentiate between the two cultures and grasp the necessary need to create his own core values in order to survive. Upon the standard that we live as humans, we fail to see the other side at times. Forgetting its existence entirely, or mentally blocking it out as a form of banishment. Conscious of the beauty and obstacles that each side faces in a daily system- Milly Brock will forever be the interpretation of the two sides, divided by one river, and within a single person.
