Founded in 2010 by students of Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Rainbow Chamber Singers (RCS) consists singers who are experienced choir lovers and aims to develop into an alive youth music group. The choir under the supervision of artistic director Mr. Jin Chengzhi, the youth conductor and composer, who is also one of the founders. RCS is committed to the expansion of musical works of different periods and styles, and also cooperated with different composers and conductors to practice a large number of new pieces. The choir studies works from the Renaissance, Classical and Romantic periods, as well as contemporary choral works, and also has made domestic debuts of many new works. Besides, the choir maintains a high level of two concerts a year the frequency of performances. In recent years, Rainbow Chamber Singers has also performed some modern Chinese choral works composed by Mr. Jin, such as 白馬村遊記, 落霞集 and 相遇. In addition, as an innovative young composer, Mr. Jin has practiced many new forms and themes based on the choir to explore the possibilities of choral works on the stage and the performance. Rainbow Chamber Singers has always pursued the art level of "In the light of ZaoHua" from Haiku which influenced by chinese traditional aesthetic consciousness, and intended to present the chorus works of their own unique artistic charm.
