stayathomedad (Formerly known as Awkward Shaman) was born in el paso, Texas and grew up traveling all across the United States. Discovered his singing talent when he was 8. 
 After highschool, he joined the army because of trouble with the police and started his solo career in North Carolina. He was deployed to Afghanistan/Iraq to fight in the war. Overseas is where he honed songwriting, arranging and rapping skills to match his singing ability. The ptsd he experienced following deployment landed him at rock bottom and in a psych Ward for 2 years. 
 While battling ptsd and more, stayathomedad never stopped the work even behind the scenes. Landing writing deals with grand hustle, single deal with defiant studios and even was a backup singer for Peter $un on his tour with hip hop legend Russ. 
 Now, married with 4 beautiful daughters, under new management, he is refreshed and ready to make music once again for himself and others.
