Biography

Decades into a remarkable career that has spanned seven albums and countless pieces of honest, inward, and elegantly narrated music, it's only now that DRS is sharing music with the world that is the purest reflection of himself. With 2022 marking two years sober for the Manchester-based MC, DRS's latest album on Shogun Audio acts as his most unadulterated body of work to date. Having championed merging emotive wordplay with the complex rhythms of drum and bass music, DRS' five solo albums, as well as two collaborative LPs with MC Dynamite and LSB, have gone some way in cementing his reputation as one of the most unique, talented, and iconic lyricists to ever grace the drum and bass scene. In 2015, DRS released 'Mid Mic Crisis', his third extended body of work. It was this album that acted as host to 'The View', a collaboration with LSB and Tyler Daley which has since established itself as one of the most iconic drum and bass tracks of the past decade. DRS is now on the verge of releasing his most personal album to date on Shogun Audio. The purest reflection of DRS as a musician to date, his self-titled 'Del-Rok-Ski' album sees one of the most heavyweight lyricists in the game delve deep into the intricacies of himself to deliver an honest, inward, and characteristically beautiful work of art.
