The Godfather of Rap in Egypt ,Winner of MTV Arabia’s Season 1 Hip HopNa show, Omar Aly Al-Missiry, known as Omar Boflot aka B.O.F, is recording his first video with Producer Fareed “Fredwreck” Nassar. Fredwreck has worked with rappers such as Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre. Boflot is the first winner of the Hip HopNa show. He won a brand new Dodge Charger along with a video shoot (which MTV arabia Promised and never kept their side of the deal). Before going on Hip HopNa, Boflot self-recorded and produced his tracks, releasing them online since 2000. His talent was underground, but winning Hip HopNa has surfaced it and given him a great start. He notes how “this video is enough to start my journey with record labels.” Boflot is a half Egyptian half Pilipino rapper. He started rapping since 1995 in night clubs in Ghana and then joined a band called “Patty Riddaz,” which means party riders. The band was unique to the Ghana community as it consisted of two Ghana rappers and one Egyptian rapper. Patty Riddaz performed on a weekly show called “fun world” and were aired every fortnight on Ghana TV. “The crowds’ reaction was great.
