Aileen is a young artist born in Dumfrieshire, Scotland who moved to Galway, Ireland at a young age. She has been singing from her early days while accompanying herself on piano and guitar. Aileen studied music, specializing in Vocals and has had many years experience performing all over Ireland as a lead and backing vocalist as well as session recording work for musicians close to home and around the world. One of these projects involved a co-writing project with musicians from the USA which then led to an Irish tour as lead singer, sharing the stage with musicians who have worked with ‘The Bay City Rollers’, ‘Vulfpeck’, and ‘Brad Paisley’. She has been inspired by the country music her father raised her on, including Dolly Parton, Shania Twain, The Chicks and many more. While other children her age were singing nursery rhymes, Aileen recalls having ‘jamming sessions’ with her brothers in the sitting room reciting all the words to anything from Kris Kristofferson to Dire Straits. Her college years diverted her from country music for a while which allowed her to explore other genres and grow as an artist. Despite this, country music is never far from her heart and her songs have a unique country/pop sound. Over the years Aileen has gathered the tools to grow and develop as a songwriter and she now share her songs which speak the truth of her many life experiences.
