SyBlayz is a gay rapper from Long Island, New York . He mixes New York’s club kid culture visuals with edgy/dark style rap. His punchlines, rhyme schemes,metaphors and double entendres definitely compete with the greats! His overall knowledge of pop culture is evident in his killer rhymes. But Sy is a Jack of all trades. Not only is he a rapper, but he is also a song writer for all genres, a singer (oh sorry I mean sanger!) , a special effects makeup artist (a graduate from Makeup Designory located in downtown Manhattan) and a costume designer/stylist. Although he has his hands in many hats, his passion is with his set design company, SyCel Productions, that he founded with his fiancé. This creature of the night has named Nicki Minaj as his biggest influence to start rapping. Reciting her difficult flows and lyrics gave him the confidence to start writing his own material. Other influences include Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes and Lady Gaga for their colorful and playful visuals that plays a huge part in his visual aesthetics, DMX for his undeniable tone and aggression on a track and Marilyn Manson for his dark visuals and avant-garde style that directly influenced his fascination for horror. SyBlayz might be fairly new to the scene but the quality of product he puts out to the world really shows that he is a force to be reckoned with. He’s truly a rising star!
