Michael C在中學及大學時，經常贏得唱歌比賽的獎項。在2020年，被發掘成為Sony Music平原習作（O.U.R. Works） 旗下唱作歌手，首支派台國語單曲〈愚公〉在一眾新人當中備受矚目，曾榮登叱咤「903專業推介」亞軍、新城「勁爆本地榜」季軍及港台「中文歌曲龍虎榜」第五位。其後推出的國語單曲〈對頻之間〉及〈黑犬默語 (feat. CY Leo)〉亦曾打入主要流行榜。 A frequent winner in music competitions in high school and university, Michael C was talent scouted as a singer-songwriter and made his debut under Sony Music’s O.U.R. Works label in April 2020. His debut Mandarin single "Foolish Man" was well-received amongst releases of newcomers. He released two more Mandarin singles in 2020, including "Frequency of Love" and "Black Dog (feat. Cy Leo)".
