Exploding onto the trance and progressive radar in 2012 after being selected to work alongside the iconic figure of Richard Durand, South African artist, Stefan Viljoen, immediately found his name on the lips of the dance music fraternity. A regular across the clubs of his Johannesburg home town and beyond, Viljoen quickly saw his music signed to leading imprints that included work for the Tiesto led, Back Hole Recordings as well as releases on Above All & Armada Music which brought further global success as a regularly featured artist on Armin Van Buuren’s “A State of Trance”. Taking a break from the trance sound, 2017 brought about a new phase in Viljoen’s career as he created the Jack’s CAB moniker. Representing “a new sound” infused with elements of techno, progressive and deep house with organic texture rich grooves, driven by warm resonating basslines lead by deep enchanting melodic leads. In 2017 Stefan under his new Jack’s CAB alias launched his own record label “Round Robin Recordings” that focuses on a unique blanket of Deep, Organic & melodic sounds. Ranging from opening deep house grooves to peak time techno influenced progressive house.
