Ingvi Þór Kormáksson is an Icelandic songwriter with ca. 15 albums to his credit, four of which are performed by JJ Soul Band, co-written by UK singer/songwriter, John Soul. Their music can be described as being on the boundaries of blues, jazz and funk - blues(con)fusion!. Ingvi has also written music for Icelandic vocalists (pop-latin-folk-jazz). Altogether; he has had more than 200 of his compositions recorded by various artists. His music can be said to be mostly in the AC genre. Jazzy chord progressions, blues, bossanova and samba rhythms are often featured in his music but sometimes folk music traditions can also be heard. Also there are a few instrumental tracks in the categories of smooth-jazz/latin and solo piano. Ingvi is an award-winning songwriter and author of two crime novels and a short story collection; he is the composer for JJ Soul Band, Veitan and Latin Faculty (Latínudeildin).
