Beginning to play guitar at age 9, music was always the intended path 21 year old artist and songwriter Julianna Joy was meant to take. By the age of 16, the Chicago native was spending her high school career split between two cities, attempting to build a career in music while trying to graduate. At age 17, she released her first single, "Nevermind" (written and produced with Dylan Gardner). The song was a huge success, and was followed by Joy's most successful single to date, "Cherry Bomb" (also written and produced with Dylan Gardner). The success of those two singles as well as the success garnered from her debut ep "Cherries", Joy caught the attention of future collaborator Teddy Geiger. With other successful singles to float Joy through the beginning of the pandemic, Joy and Geiger worked all throughout 2020 to 2022 on Joy's second EP, "Garden of Eden", which caught the attention of the Zane Lowe show, Under the Radar magazine, and Spotify's Fresh Finds and Fresh Finds Pop playlists. The EP holds some of the industry's greatest, including Written By John Ryan, Ariza, Evan Voytas, Mags Duval, Written By Danny Parker, and mixer Jon Rezin. Joy is now in the midst of becoming an unforgettable artist. She is currently 3 singles into her next body of work (executively produced by Dee Lilly), and is going on her first tour in September of 2023 opening for the artist Xana.
