merchant is at the forefront of the ever emerging rhythms and tribal percussions of afro, caribbean & tribal house, blending them with the vibrant sounds of my native Jamaica and nostalgic melodies that go along with themes of pop vocals. This fusion goes alongside the likes of my inspirations and collaborators with timeranges from the 70s to the early 2010s, and features a whole host of different elements from each generation to evoke intense emotion in every edit, remix or original record that I release. My music is not just about making people dance; it's about connecting people from different cultures and backgrounds and creating lasting bonds with, and for my audience.
