The Richard Stoll Project is a band formed in Argentina during the Covid-19 pandemic in May 2020. Sole member Richard started recording some old songs he had on paper, finally shaping what was to become his debut album. The album title “Nothing Is What It Seems” was inspired by a shadow projected on the wall behind Richard’s computer, which later became the album cover; the songs are all from different years, with a range from 2003 to 2021, being Lady Valentine the oldest and Stick ‘till the end the newest. It was recorded, mixed and produced in Richard’s home studio by himself, with his nieces Eugenia and Bella, sometimes taking recording engineers roles. Other collaborations feature Renatto Córdova “RC Double T” on lead guitars on “Pick up the phone / Legs”; Raquel Violante "ReichiVio" on the answer machine on "Pick up the phone"; *Liliia Ksyl on vocals on “If we were to end / Call me (before the day ends)”; *Rick Jansen on lead vocals with *Grace Anabelle on backing vocals on “Stick ‘till the end”. *These artists were hired using the Fiverr app. The bonus track “Who Knows” was composed by German Stoll, at age 8. (It is Richard's favorite track)
