Magnus Zetterlund (b.1980) is an award-winning mandolin player and instructor from Sweden. He is a prominent musician on the Scandinavian folk scene, collaborating with leading artists in Norway, Finland, and Sweden.  Magnus has a remarkable skill set in playing the octave mandolin, which is the bigger sister to the mandolin. You can hear the two instruments in his music in a unique interplay that represents both melody and groove. He likes to point out, "the beautiful sound of the two instruments perfectly melts together, and the way they blend is just like coffee and cream, or vanilla and chocolate. " He is a passionate mandolin instructor and the founder of Mandolin Secrets, an online platform that helps mandolinists take their playing to the next level. His YouTube channel has provided weekly inspiration and value since late 2017, and the tutorials have now more than 900,000 views. The mandolin playing gives him a fulfilling direction in life. He says it's all about "having fun and connecting with inspiring people." Magnus's ten-year vision is to spread the joy of mandolin to millions of people.
