dayghost (fka Ghosty) originally started making music to help document, and help him through moments of his life. After taking a step back to self isolate and re-imagine his sound and image in 2020, he realized most of his music was brooding and dark, lacking any form of light. With a new name and mindset he set off to produce his first album "Everything Is Different Now", trying to encapsulate the feeling of change and lightness he wanted to feel. "Most of the songs were originally produced in minor keys, so when I flipped them It inspired a whole new view of each track. In some instances it changed the entire way the lyrics would be understood too." In summer of 2023, he released his first single since the project, "Miss You" introducing a more house-like, dancy feel than his previous releases.
