Carlo Calvi was an Italian guitarist and redactor. "Intavolatura di chitarra, e chitarriglia" was a book of instruction concerning tuning and tablaure reading as well as a collection of musical pieces for guitar. The pieces were divided into two settings differentiated by whether the piece was to be plucked or strummed.
