Biography

Lara Luppi is an Italian singer. She is mostly known and appreciated for her charisma as well as for her touching and creative performances. She sings jazz, blues, swing and gospel and she has released thirteen CDs featuring American (Bobby Durham, Walter Booker, Charles Mc. Phearson) and Italian ( Massimo Faraò, Joe Pisto, Lino Patruno…)musicians. She has directed two theatre shows and actually many of her performances are built as shows including readings, visual aids, stage sets. She is President of the Cultural Association, “Mu.S.E.” which promotes cultural events and music workshops. Finally, she has been an Mc for some important“vintage” festivals, among them the Summer Jamboree Festival, the most important festival in Italy about culture and music of the 40s and 50s. A strong passion for traditional jazz and swing is shown through the several bands she leads: Laralù & The Vintage Kings, Jumpin’ Shoes, Blue Midnight Orchestra, Lino Patruno’s Blue Four, Gipsy Soul Trio. Her last jazz project is called “Day Dream” with Luca Filastro, Aldo Zunino, Emanuele Zappia.
