As the saying goes, "Every rapper isn't a street guy and every street guy isn't a rapper." Yet, throughout the history of Hip-Hop music, some of the best rappers to ever do it have been street guys with the lyrical ability and musical prowess to render art out the realities of inner city lives. They are the artists who can draw from their very real experiences, not to glorify the street life, but to bear witness; those who, having learned from the streets all that they had to offer, chose to walk away in hopes of creating a better reality. Out of Atlanta Elz Jenkins is poised to be the next Hip-Hop great to emerge from that tradition.
