CAii is a singer, songwriter & producer of outspoken, defiant, autobiographical pop music referencing mental health issues, toxic relationships & her experience as a young woman in the modern world. Hailing from Manchester, UK, Caii has been writing songs since she was 4 & grew up listening to an eclectic mix of music, from classic noughties pop artists like Britney Spears to iconic greats like Nina Simone. CAii felt stifled working with producers in a traditional pop direction, so sought creative control to curate her own unique sound. Studying Music Production & with countless hours in the studio honing her skills, her self-produced debut - a cover of Chris Isaak’s ‘Wicked Game’ - was featured on the Loku YouTube channel, garnering over 14k views. Influenced by artists like BANKS, PVRIS, Nirvana & Jeremy Zucker, Caii's songwriting fuses raw lyrics with dramatic production & soaring vocals. The resulting sound delivers shades of modern pop princesses Halsey, FLETCHER & VÉRITÉ - raw, relatable lyrics, catchy pop melodies, contemporary production & a fierce feminist undertone. The resolute, sassy anthem ‘Back It Up’ became her most successful single to date & was quickly followed by ‘Tonight I'm Getting Over You’ – a collaboration with Bthelick & DJ Clipps featured on dance playlists across the globe. CAii’s single ‘Communicate’ - an intimate reflection on communication issues in a relationship - is available on all major streaming platforms from the 26th of August ‘22.
