"I specialize primarily in the music of the Baroque and Classicism eras, willingly perform chamber music, also moving boldly through the era of Romanticism. I had the opportunity to sing many premieres of works by contemporary composers and record cds including movie soundtracks. I personally love to go beyond "classical", performing popular and film music, not avoiding improvisation and jazz, constantly looking for connections between the world of classical and popular music." Dorota Szczepańska performed, among others, with Trevor Pinnock singing the part of Maria in Lazarus by F. Schubert, Howard Arman in the title role of Semele by G. F. Händel, Andrea de Carlo singing San Giovanni Battista by A. Stradella at the Teatro Carlo Felice alongside Topi Lehtipuu, Christina Pluhar and L'Arpeggiata during the Baltic Sea Festival. She has recorded Krzysztof A. Janczak's Ave Maria with the London Symphony Orchestra, music to the ballet Stín B. Martinů with Ian Hobson and Sinfonia Varsovia, as well as many other CD recordings, e.g. for the NAXOS label. She also sang on many soundtracks, including the series Principle of pleasure by M. Lorenc, Even Mice belong in Heaven and Black Sheep by Krzysztof A. Janczak.
