Thanks for visiting. Hopefully you'll find music you enjoy. I am basically an old-school traditional folk singer from Norway. Inherited music from the rural districts of Telemark and Hallingdal has been a natural part of life since before I was born. I grew up with it. In addition I compose my own music. Øyonn - 20 songs from 20 albums gives a certain insight into what has been going on over the years. As you may hear, I rather often accompany myself with Kraviklyre, a little seven-stringed Norwegian harp (check Øyonn - Kraviklyre), and sometimes with Norwegian bass dulcimer. I also play willow flute, for example in the opening track on I Jolo: Jul På Gamlemåten. And I have been central in a number of projects, between others Nordjordet with Bugge Wesseltoft and Nivelkinn with Odd Nordstoga. If you are interested in going deeper into my compositions, I recommend Runarslaget (2009/2021) and Haugtussa (2020/2023) - two dramatic stories told through songs.
