DJ | PRODUCER | ALM Records owner - Ken Scoretz was born 1978, in Vancouver BC Canada. His love of music was fostered by his parents, Ken and Marie, from a very young age. "When I was little I would wake up in the morning, come into the kitchen, sit with my parents and listening the oldies." In the early 2000's Ken's love of music (electronic genres in particular) became a passion for DJing, but it wasn't until a demo version of Cubase fell in his lap that he started to get the idea for making his own music. Ken spent the next 10 years or so playing with various versions of Cubase in an attempt to make something happen, but with a very demanding work schedule it was just a hobby. However the love for all forms of electronic music never loosened its grip and round 2015 things became more real for Ken as time allowed for things like music production and the study of writing this style of music. Learning how to use all types of Virtual Studio Technology became an endeavor that he thirsted for by the end of the work week, "I had one day a week to myself for studying and writing so I used it as wisely as possible." From around 2017 on, things like ease of work flow and writing just started to click. "I get kinda grumpy when I can't work on music for a while (laughs)." Currently, in the beginning stages of life, Ken's label ALM Records will bring about another chapter in this musical journey, making it easier to get music to as many souls as possible.
