Billy Young is a Hispanic/Latino musician from a small town in South Texas, minutes from where the border meets with Mexico. Representing his Resaca City hometown, San Benito, his style is not what you would call Southern Hip Hop. With some of his biggest influences being rappers such as Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Redman, 50 Cent, J. Cole, Yelawolf, and most of all Eminem. Billy started rapping as young as 10 years old and began to compose instrumentals at 14 under his beat alias, Murky Water Beats. What Billy brings to the Hip Hop table is a unique lyrical ability along with his love for rhythm and poetry, conspiracy theories, shock value, and most of all an interesting view of the world from the eyes of a "Mexican American." “I want to be the voice of those who dont fully identify with one or either of those two labels, Mexican or American.
