New York based artist, Arik Divine, born November, 12, 1992 has been honing his skills in songwriting, producing, and audio engineering for the past decade. Originally a sketch artist turned producer, Arik blended his love of art, and unique perspective, to bring about a new vision of sound merging his passions into one. Arik’s evolution and transition from producer into recording arts allowed him to develop unique structual elements in his recording process, and a diverse interpretation of sound. At age 17 he was introduced to Prince Rogers Nelson backstage at Madison Square Garden. The very rare and memorable encounter is what he has since been motivated by to continue on with his passion. He’s explored and experimented with various styles of music ranging from Pop, R&B, Rock, Dancehall, and even Folk, but has stated R&B pop to be amongst his favorite styles. Arik has challenged the boundaries of sound utilizing all of the skills, and knowledge he’s acquired through various mentors, teachers, and friends. He uses his music to tell stories, and strives to invoke a sense of high emotion, and substance through each of his creations, with the depths of vibrations, and the movement of sound.
