Olympic Pool Maintenance League is the techno production project of Brisbane-based artist Chris Bennie. It has released on Mord, Basse-cour (Italy), Occultech Recordings (India) and Pocketmoth. Its music is informed by techno pioneers on Harthouse and Superstition Records through to contemporary sounds played by DJ Nobu (Japan) and Joachim Speith (Affin Records, Germany). In addition to producing Chris has curated events. In 2019 he produced a series of live techno events at The Walls Art Space (Gold Coast) showcasing the talent of electronic and techno producers in the region. MetaPattern, Pedestrian Planet, Rigidigital, RJE, Robert Moore (Thylacyn), AVAXA, Bri & Si and Tokoton performed within the industrial context of The Walls Art Space and contributed to the development of local live techno in Australia.
