Malusi Mbokazi has been in the entertainment industry as a professional gospel singer since 2001 till date. The public got the first glimpse of his vocal abilities as a leader of a group famously known as Abanqobi. During his leadership, the group collected a number of accolades such as Best Accapela Group, three times in a row on SABC CROWN GOSPEL MUSIC AWARDS..In 2015, Malusi Mbokazi branched out and became a solo artist. His first solo project was a live recording of an album titled NGISIZE NKOSI that branded him as Malusi Mbokazi the solo gospel artist which set him apart from being a group leader. The album titled NGISIZE NKOSI was received so well by the public that it went as far as being nominated for the 2015 UMLAZI AWARDS which Malusi Mbokazi won Best Male where he was honored by his hometown(UMLAZI). The same album received two nominations from 2015 SABC CROWN GOSPEL MUSIC AWARDS and 2016 METRO FM MUSIC AWARDS. In 2019 he launched a book that he authored titled, “A GREAT PASTOR IN CHURCH BUT A BEAST TO HIS FAMILY” which made him not so popular with pastors who didn’t understand the actual motive of the book. Malusi Mbokazi has excellently sharpened his abilities in leadership, conceptualizing, songwriting, being a producer and a great mentor which has led him to gain incredible followers within the industry. Malusi Mbokazi has managed to touch every hearts, mind and soul of his fans with his conscious message through his soothing melodious voice.
