Positivity - that’s the guiding force for Zak Gee, a DJ and producer whose heart and record collection is full of positive vibes and house music. Originally from Skopje in the Balkan Republic of Macedonia, he grew up listening to many different music styles from the family’s collection of old vinyls and cassettes. From an early age he was steeped in everything from R&B to disco, as well as eighties soul and funk. In the nineties Zak did the "London thing" and moved to the notorious house music city. House music culture became the most influential factor in his life. His passion for music quickly led him to spin records, playing at some of the best London’s bars and clubs. He also visited Ibiza for the first time, and the island became somewhat of a musical and spiritual home for him. His DJ sets offer an impeccable house /deep /funky/tech-house selection ranging from upfront and cutting edge House, to more Progressive techno oriented tunes all designed to rock the crowds. Naturally his desire to play his own sounds pushed him to production. He is fully immersed in producing music and finally put together his own studio - FunkBoxStudio - where he concocts his own authentic productions with an unmistakable Ibiza-House style. Everything from grooving tech and deep house up to glamorous progressive and tough techno elements - always inspired by the island vibes, and bringing a quirky, experimental touch even to his more commercial excursions.
